Mini Sunday Sound Out

You guys are so great!!! I feel so cool being able to do my very own S.S.O. Now these answers aren't very exciting or thought provoking but just think of how happy I'll be when I fall asleep tonight ;)

Cindy-call me crazy, but what the heck is sdf?
Cindy, Cindy, Cindy! I know you read my blog regularly, tsk, tsk! SDF is Sunday dessert face. My weekly pictures of the baby with food all over her face ;) I guess that's what I get for trying to be a real professional blogger with recurring weekly theme posts ;)

jill-How do you have 5 kids in 5 years?
Well Jill it's like this; get pregnant, have baby, finish postpartum bleeding, get reacquainted with very hansom husband, begin process again. Rinse and repeat.

jessi-I admire you and all the fun things you do with your kidos
I know this isn't really a question but I thought it needed to be addressed. Jessi, some days I spend the day ignoring and yelling at my kids then feed them cereal for dinner and put them to bed at 5:30 because I feel its for the best for all parties! I just don't blog about it because its a secret ;)

Steph- What is a GS?
Sorry about my too cool for school abbreviations! I think I was a little tired that night and German Shepherd was just too much typing ;):)

Vanessa- How big was baby Ethan when he was born?
I believe baby ethan was 9lbs 10oz. Way to go Trisha is all I have to say!!

Christine- Is that your van in the background?
You may notice a big silver van in the background of a lot of our pictures. No, we don't have a stalker that is our van. We hardly ever leave home with out it!

T&T- How'd you like being pregnant for so many years?
Hmmm...Not sure how to answer that appropriately and without using the word hate....Ummm...it was an experience like none other! Although I would do it again 100 times because I absolutely love the end results! (the baby, not the body!)

Jill-Since you have no privacy issues was it all planned that way? (re:pregnancies)
Baby #1 was not so planned. I had just graduated high school and was only 19. I guess once my, then boyfriend, now husband, and I got over the initial shock we figured we may as well keep going. No point wasting time ;) I'm glad to have had 5 kids by the time I was 25. When I'm 40 I will still be young enough start a career and have the energy to make sure my brood is heading in the right direction :) TO be honest we would have had a lot more kids but we gave in to the peer pressure from my family and some complete strangers who failed to see the reasoning behind our having 'SO MANY' kids. Carl had a vasectomy last year. We both immediately regretted it and I think that was a real turning point in my depression. But nothing is ever final right? Things that have been done can be undone if it is meant to be. So really that previous plan about a career at 40 is just something to fall back on if my real dream doesn't come true. It's hard for me to talk about because all those people who think 5 kids is too many are still present in our lives and I am too easily convinced by loved ones that I am not good enough. So there you have it. Never to be talked about again until the post where I say " ...and there were 2 little pink lines..." Holy off on a tangent, sorry about that ;)

Anyway thanks a lot for the questions. I love you all!!!

Great Sunday Sound Out! I loved your answers!
Ok, so for the record, 5 kids isn't too much and I would totally support you if you had more. :)

Just found your blog! Love the answers and I too have 5 kids (but in 7 years!) Life is busy but it is fun (not those one we don't blog about) but everyone else has those too in my opinion!

Hope to be back if that is okay!

I have to go back and look at all your pictures from vacation. This week was a busy week for us. I finally have a little downtime, but I have to clean my hosue today, so I am not sure that my b logs will get done.

BTW, being a mom of 5, I don't see why it is anyone's business how many kids we have. If we are not on welfare, and supporting our children why is it anyon's business to say how many kids we can have??? UGH that is a pet peeve of mine.

Love, love, LOVED this post. I have answered some of those same questions and your answers had me rolling. I am going to steal that "rinse and repeat" line!

Also, to the naysyers. Before my medical complications, Nathan and I had a standard line for people that felt the need to tell us to stop. We would simply tell them that when it was thier turn to arry, deliver, and then nurse one of our babies, ee would be more than happy to call them and consult them before we conceived.

I am still lol at the rinse and repeat line. So funny!

Thanks for answering my nosey questions! You're awesome to go ahead and do it again so soon. Maybe you can just reverse that vasectomy and keep going! I grew up with 9 kids and after I got married my mom decided to adopt 4 others. Go for the gold girl!

I love the answers.
and YES- why do complete strangers feelt he need to comment when women have more than 2 children!!
Seriously, what is up with that?
If I hear one more time, boy you have your hands full I'm gonig to poke someone in their stupid forehead! And sweet girl - I am 40 and did the opposite of you. Worked my tail off, had the career, then found a hubbie and had babies! Looking forward to baby #4 if the Lord blesses us!!
