Little (tired) kids on the prairies

We made it!!! We drove right through and made it to Auntie Valerie and Uncle Alvin's house by 3am. The kids ended up staying awake until about midnight and getting up this morning at about 7am. It has been a LONG day to say the least. We did get out to visit Carl other aunt and uncle, Joan and Archie. They have a new place since we last saw them and are working hard to get a new deck built. The kids, despite their overall bad moods had fun playing in the prairie grass and blistering heat!
Truth be told I have wanted to move to Alberta for years. I love it!! My mom tells me I don't really love it but I know that's because she doesn't want us to move ;)
Carl and I went on a really fun quad ride across V&A's 43 acres. The kids were all out ( more later on that) so we took our time and enjoyed the beautiful view that seems to go on for days. I'm hoping we can one day move out here and become a little more country, less city slicker.
Tomorrow we have babies to visit and laundry to do. I'm stealing wireless Internet right now so I better run. I will leave you with a few highlights from the day...

OOOH Alberta is pretty! I love the pics. Miss the kids already :( I am kind of dying right now that Chilliwack is anyone's idea of city life. Alberta must be pretty...rural?

Wow looks like loads of fun. I lived in Cranbrook for a while ... very close to alberta. well I ended up missing the ocean too much and moved back. However the cowboys were very yummy!

Have fun on your trip!

I love all the great pics. And I personally think you are crazy for loving anywhere where there is blistering heat. ;) I hate hot weather. GIVE ME SNOW! :)
