Happy birthday Georgia

Being the terrible mother I am I forgot to do a Happy birthday post to Georgia. Her birhtday was on Monday. Whenever the kids have a birthday I find it a little tough. I want them to grow up, kinda. I just feel like life is flying by me and since I have such a terrible memory the fun times are gone forever. Luckily I have a healthy obsession with taking pictures and a husband who remembers everything!
So Georgia was born in the early morning of February 11th. I was due on the 9th but somehow convinced my midwives I needed to have the baby on the 10th! They came to my house and broke my water and we sat around and waited. By that night nothing had happened so we decided we would go to the hospital in the morning and get a chemical induction. My friend alison had come out to take care of the kids so we had a fun evening pigging out. We ate so much we could hardly roll ourselves into bed! At about midnight I woke up having contrations. I slept through a couple hours because I kept forgetting to get up because I was so tired. Finally I woke Carl up and since I tend to give birth very quickly we called the midwife and headed to the hospital. By the time we were all set up in the hospital the contrations had stopped. We realized they were just from being so full from our pig out session earlier. Since we were already at the hospital they got my on oxytocin and a few contractions later, while sitting on the toilet, Georgia was born. She was so different looking than the other kids. She was only 7 lbs and so fair. We convinced the midwife to let us go home after about 4 hours. The kids were so excited to see her!
Georgia has been more of a challenge for me than any of the other kids. She knows what she wants and if you don't you'll be sorry! She is very smart and funny. Much to our surprise she loves her little sister more than words can say. I think the two of them are going to be BFF's!!
I am very excited to see Georgia grow even if its hard to see her become more independent. I know I'll always be her mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, momma, momma, momma, mom, mom, mom, mom, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma!
Happy birhtday Georgia!!
