A gazillion dollars later...

...we're ready to go back to school! I only have 2 school supplies left to buy and a couple pairs of jeans wahoo!! Can I just say how happy I am to be less poor this year at back to school time? It is really nice to be in a position to go out and buy all the stuff we need :) My decision to stay in chilliwack is making me so happy I am actually excited for back to school! I really love having my kids home and have thought a great deal about home schooling but due to my lack of patience and not being a very good teacher that is kind of out of the question. There is something about appreciating where my home is that is making me excited to get back into the chaos of school and everything that goes with it!

It is good to hear that you are happy with you decision to stay put.

I feel your pain with the cost of school supplies, it can be quite painful.

A gazillion is right. I just spent $200 on registration fee's for one high schooler and that didn't even include his back-to-school supplies.

I even tried homeschooling last year but my sanity died and they are back to regular school this year. So I hear your reasoning.

Glad things worked out with chilliwack.

Glad you are happy with your decision. I personally appreciate my children more when they have been gone all day as I know I don't have what it takes to home school. My kids also LOVE going to school, so since they like it so much, I would never take that away from them. If they got to the point where they wern't happy, I wouldthen consider homeschooling.

For us, our schools also offer deployment counseling, which helps alot for the kids. They need it!

I alwasy loved going shopping for school supplies when I was in school! Your kiddies must have had fun helping! AND the new clothes are always fun! But boy does it break the wallet!

Good luck in school this year kids!
