Just to clarify I don't actually spend $300 to fill my van but it is over $200 if I fill up at home (Canada). A few months back I started going down to the USA every week to fill up and am only spending about $140 or less. I would love to drive something smaller and more fuel efficient but its just not possible. Since our kids are practically all the same size (2@49lbs, 3@26lbs) they all need to be in car seats. You can not fit 3 car seats across the back of a minivan. We also have a German shepherd who goes absolutely everywhere with us and the need for extra space for strollers, bikes, groceries, etc. So this is my ride, nothing fancy but new-ish and under warranty for a long time!
*During the school year I fill up once a week but I'm really hoping to cut consumption in half over the summer :)*

Yes if I had all 6 in car seats I'd need the same van!!
Now I get why it costs so much!!!
OK, so my next question, is how long does that tank last? I am going to assume you get between 10 and 15 MPG? Wow thr price of the gas difference is amazing!
LOL! Your van is almost as "sexy" as my white tiger. LOL
Ah yes! Wouldn't it be nice if there was such a thing as fuel efficient larger vehicles??? UGH!
I can relate to this! I have a big van too, and I live too far away from everything. We live in between two small towns with small expensive stores, then 14 miles away from a small city...so to get to Wal-Mart and back costs about $9 - but I'm glad I have it, I like having the option to pack up all the kids and take them places...
Hey! We are looking for a new van, Currently we fit into an 8 seater mini v but we are outgrowing it so quickly. We are all packed into it like sardines.
In the next month we will be getting a 12-15 passenger van. I am excited (and I cannot believe I am saying that!)
Sweet ride! We have four in boosters and 2 in five points!
