The big exciting news is Carl got offered an amazing job at the Ekati diamond mines in the NWT!! He applied for the about 4 months ago and has been talking back and forth with them for the last 2 months. Now finally this morning they called and offered him the job. To my surprise he didn't jump at the opportunity as I thought he would. He kept his cool, even though he was dying of excitement, and asked them to fly him up there to have a look at what he would be getting himself into. The guy said it wasn't something they usually do but appreciated his reasoning and said he didn't think it would be a problem!! So we should be getting the flight info in the next couple days and he'll be heading out early October.
He will be working two weeks on two weeks off so although he won't be here for two whole weeks he will be home for two full weeks after!!
The best part is he will be making a 6 figure salary!!!!!
I am so proud of my husband. He has work so hard to become an amazing welder and now it is really paying off!!
Life with five kids and getting ready for three more! Triplet girls will make 8!!
