Carl and I are now officially the coolest parents ever. We got Xavier the best birthday present, a ride in an airplane! He got a 45 minute flight on a piper. In the last month I have been trying so hard to get rid of things in our house that are not necessities so the thought of buying Xavier more toys was killing me. I looked into hot air balloons and helicopters but for the $$ the plane ride seemed like the best deal. Carl took the kids first thing Saturday morning and they had a blast. We gave them gravol before they left, just in case, so by the time they got back they were pretty dozy. Once they perked up they told us all the cool things they saw and where they flew over. I must say I am very impressed by the pictures Carl took. Now what are we going to get him next year...
